Book a Korean restaurant without a Korean phone number
For participating restaurants, use CATCHTABLE Global rather than the domestic service. The Korea Tourism Organization describes Google or Apple sign-in without a Korean number, foreign-issued card payments and email waitlist notifications. A reservation, remote waitlist and on-site queue are different options; the restaurant page determines which you can use.

SourcesBefore you choose
- Open the Global service, sign in and search the exact restaurant branch. Check its address, date, party size and available action. The tourism guide describes English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese support; your KoreaPocket language may not be offered by the external service.
- Use Reserve for a time slot, Join Remote Waitlist for an eligible queue, or follow the on-site instructions when no online button appears. Joining a waitlist does not reserve a fixed dining time. If the restaurant is absent, contact it through its own official channel.
- Before payment, read the deposit, cancellation deadline and refund terms for that restaurant. Save the confirmation and monitor notification emails or the app’s wait status. Confirm arrival instructions with the restaurant; KoreaPocket does not make or manage the booking.
Questions before you go
- Do I need a Korean number just to book?
- Not for the Global route described by the tourism organization: Google or Apple account sign-in and foreign-issued cards support participating restaurants. This does not remove phone or payment requirements from other Korean apps or every restaurant. Sources: Korea Tourism Organization · CATCHTABLE Global
- Are a reservation deposit and waitlist fee the same?
- No. The tourism guide describes deposits for many reservations and no deposit for waiting. That article was updated in September 2024; verify today’s restaurant screen and cancellation conditions before paying or joining. Sources: Korea Tourism Organization · CATCHTABLE Global
